About me..

As the former Chief People Officer for ClearScore and prior to that, BBC Worldwide, I am a passionate believer in the importance of the People team’s role and their ability to lead companies to success by establishing trust, nurturing growth and inspiring people to be themselves. In an environment where people can be the best version of themselves, companies see results.

After over 20 years of building organisational cultures that develop people and deliver growth for international businesses, I’m on a mission to help and inspire business leaders to create working environments that allow people to be the best that they can be – and I have spoken as a keynote at many industry events on this subject.

I set up this blog, starting with my first post Can you be yourself at work? to share some of my experiences, and to help organisations, CEOs, leaders, HR managers and individuals understand that when we allow ourselves (and are allowed) to be human – that is to be our true authentic selves at work – that we start to be our best selves and deliver our best work…. which in turn leads to tangible results and drives business growth.

I hope you enjoy my posts and I hope you can learn something from them – whatever your role or whatever stage you’re at in your career!

I’m also a keen (award winning!) travel photographer, so I thought why not bring my two passions together? You can see some of my work throughout the site – all image credits are my own.

Do let me know what you think!
